output when have multiple logstash servers in cluster

If i have, let's say, 3 servers in a logstash cluster, can i coordinate them somehow so when i configure syslog output only one of those servers will actually send the syslog message? otherwise all 3 would send and the receiving systems would get duplicated messages.
