File location

First of all, great work!

Currently, the app saves all files to ~/Documents/linked directory by default. Is it possible to change the path?

It is planned to be able to customize the path soon.

For anyone who wants to tackle it, it should not be stored in local storage. Instead either use https://github.com/sindresorhus/electron-store or just like the normal content, a json file with settings.

⚠️ although: I am thinking of moving the base to ionic to support iOS/Android. So some changes may happen soonish.

@fazilaltinel I actually wanted to start on the feature now. Where would you like to move it? Anywhere on your PC or within ~/Documents?

@lostdesign Sorry for late reply. I think anywhere on the PC would be more flexible if file permissions are not a problem (electron noob alert 😄 ).

The file permissions should be fine to be honest and yes, 'anywhere' makes more sense. I guess I need to change some things in order to make it happen (security etc), but should not be too much of a hassle.

i would love to see it. As this feature would be a boos in combination with obisidian.
Save the documents inside Obsidian vault (for now translate into .md with script)
