tearing in PAL composite video on the ESP32 dev module

hi! I'm trying to implement animations on composite output, and in NTSC they look perfectly fine. but in PAL I can't avoid tearing in complex/heavy animations (and as I say, that same animation runs smoothly on NTSC), no matter what I try (lower resolution, adding delay in ms, etc). is this a known issue with the library? I don't want to waste more time if there's no fix.

hi! thank you for replying! =) I wasn't asking for help with my code. I was just asking if there was a known issue with PAL, because the same code works perfectly fine in NTSC, but there's tearing in PAL. and I'm not doing anything different, I'm using the recommended resolutions, etc. and I'm not seeing too many queries about composite here either, tbh... do you regularly use composite video with the library or have used it for a project? what's your experience? thanks again! I wasn't suggesting your code needs fixing.

and I'm not seeing too many queries about composite here either, tbh...

Maybe it's a more generalistic problem e.g. affecting any type of output.

Did you experiment with lgfx::getScanLine(); using a positive result (NTSC) first and compare with PAL?

Here's an example.
