transfer the AD specific code into the ltb-common Directory interface

The goal is to move all the AD specific code into the ltb-common Directory interface.

Everything that relies on $ad_mode should instead be moved into ltb-common interface. This would require using the existing methods of the interface, and probable creating more methods.
