Edit Education page with new EDU projects

Dear Luanti Education Team,

I would like to introduce you to a media education project based on the open gaming platform Luanti that focuses on game-based learning and digital education. The project uses a collaboratively designed game world in which children learn through building, experimenting, and working together. Among other things, this results in technical constructions, sustainable agricultural systems, and cooperative building projects.

The project is documented on its own website, which not only explains the concrete implementation of the learning world, but also provides insights into the mods, game adaptations, and educational ideas used. The aim is to give other teachers, educational professionals, or projects ideas on how they can implement similar concepts with Luanti themselves.

Therefore, I wanted to ask if it would be possible to present the project on the Luanti Education page, for example in the “Projects” or “Resources” section. I would be delighted if the concept could be made visible there as a practical example or source of inspiration for others.

It uses Luanti as a creative learning environment for elementary school children. Elements from game-based learning and gamification are used in a jointly designed game world to promote learning in a playful way. Participants build, explore, and experiment with various mods and technical systems, develop STEM skills, and implement their own ideas in projects such as technical constructions, automated processes, or sustainable agricultural systems.
The children actively take on the role of designers of the game world, often working in teams, supporting each other, and learning through trial and error, problem solving, and cooperation. Educational support provides impetus and new ideas, but leaves room for self-organized projects, creativity, and experimentation. This creates a learning space that combines digital play, creativity, and collaborative discovery.

Das Projekt nutzt Luanti als kreative Lernumgebung für Kinder der Grundschule. In einer gemeinsam gestalteten Spielwelt werden Elemente aus Game-based Learning und Gamification eingesetzt, um Lernen spielerisch zu fördern. Die Teilnehmenden bauen, erkunden und experimentieren mit verschiedenen Mods und technischen Systemen, entwickeln MINT-Kompetenzen und setzen eigene Ideen in Projekten wie technischen Konstruktionen, automatisierten Abläufen oder nachhaltigen Landwirtschaftssystemen um.

I don't think so, no.

I believe it was a choice made by the EDU team, based on available projects, to showcase the variety of usage.
It can definitely evolve.

It could also take a different form. If you have ideas on how (and why) it could be changed, don't hesitate to share them.

If you plan to expand the showcase of the „picture projects“ in the future, I would be happy to suggest adding my project. It could add representation from another country, as many of the current examples seem to come from France, and would therefore also increase the geographic diversity of the projects presented.

The project was developed by me as an media educator to support the development of media literacy. With many visual examples and practical classroom applications, it aims to provide useful inspiration for readers interested in game-based learning.

Thematically, it explores topics such as digital circuits, resource management, sustainability and reforestation, economic understanding, and more.
