Sometimes I'm stuck and I resort to a hint, but the hints just pick a mine and show it to me.

What might be nice, if possible, is that rather than just revealing a mine, it instead highlighted the area that's solvable. Like maybe it highlights a number somewhere indicating to me "Hey, see how this is a 3..." and then I could go "Oh right, I see now". Or maybe it highlights two numbers to indicate that there's some reason these two clues together lead to a unique solution. I'm not sure what it would do on the ones where there's an entire block of them that all lead to some state. Maybe highlight all of the related ones? I maybe just give a mine like it currently does. And I guess if there are no deducible solutions, then it has to just give a mine.
And just so people don't get stuck, maybe if the state of the board hasn't changed since the last hint, just give the mine the next time they try...
