Hi, I'm Kathy Hurchla. Getting starting contributing, sadly not able to make it to the PyCon '26 dev sprint. What attracted me most when he shared the marcus project is that it poses the question why the ai industry has been leaning so far into agent to agent messaging, and that you've anchored it back in long-standing precedent engineering principles and ways of working. I also still believe in multiple human developers plugging into a multi-agent workflow like this, both simultaneously and as a kind of human-on/in-the-loop coverage system across global teams, and I think a board-anchored human-agent team is a better bridge to that that's goal and requirements anchored and naturally context-efficient just like how we'd be picking up tasks and reading dependencies and directly-related docs. I live in Vermont, US so I typically work EST/EDT timezone (NYC) hours, but I'm flexible and frequently work on projects with people all over time zones. I specialize in AI engineering coming from a data background, and data visualization is always a passion of mine. I currently work from an agency fantasy.co with which I design + build various experiences mostly digital but sometimes bridging into in-person, e.g., in retail stores. I'm an Assoc. Principal Engineer with them, so I work across the stack, sometimes more front-end lately naturally because that agency's roots are in UI/UX/CX (customer experience) design and interactivity, I've been doing more in node/JS/TS and esp. WebGL, html5 canvas, and WebMCP recently. But I'm once and forever a Pythonista and have built agents in both ecosystems, and done some QLoRA training also. Larry taught me python (and many important language-agnostic fundamentals), dataviz and data science apps were my entryway drugs so to say. Scrappy diy punky artist kid at heart. Also a performance nerd. |
