How to change the background color of mobile menu dropdown?

Hi, I'm new to using Hugo and I chose Anatole as my first theme. I have been able to customize the theme colours via the _variables.scss file but I couldn't find the option to change the background of the mobile version menu dropdown (screenshot below of the dark and light modes with a white background):

Since my font in dark mode is a light grey, it doesn't show well on the white background. Is there anyway to make it match the current background colour of the active light/dark mode?
