web-platform example not working

When I follow the instructions to get the web-platform example working I get the following error:

❯ pnpm install

 ERR_PNPM_CATALOG_ENTRY_NOT_FOUND_FOR_SPEC  No catalog entry '@lynx-js/qrcode-rsbuild-plugin' was found for catalog 'default'.

The error ERR_PNPM_CATALOG_ENTRY_NOT_FOUND_FOR_SPEC happens because running pnpm install directly inside examples/web-platform treats that directory as an isolated workspace. However, its local pnpm-workspace.yaml is missing the catalog definitions (versions) that are required for dependencies like @lynx-js/qrcode-rsbuild-plugin.

These definitions are centrally managed in the root pnpm-workspace.yaml.

Solution

You should install dependencies from the root of the repository, not inside the example folder. This ensures the monorepo structure works as intended and all catalog versions are resolved correctly.

1. Go to the root of the repository:

   lynx-examples

2. Install dependencies for the entire workspace:

   pnpm install

3. Go back to the example and run it:

   cd examples/web-platform
   pnpm run build
   pnpm run dev
