As you can see in the highlight below the arrow is labeled (+) for same, but the arrows are depicting opposite.

• @matthewtomo - Can you help @lijenn and I fix the arrow from appointments for new patients to new patient start in MM CLD from DDD?

I was thinking this might be an easy fix?

@lzim, just to clarify, would proper behavior be:

• The arrow from "Appointments for New Patients" to "Patient Starts" is labelled with a "-" sign?

Also, is this related to card 1065 in the research repo?

We realized this is a bigger issue and we likely don't have the budget to fix now.

The bugs:

1. The polarities (+ and -) are correct, but the up and down arrows are illustrating the polarities incorrectly.

Examples:

• MM: If we trace Balancing Existing and New Patients, as scheduled appointments for existing patients increases, appointments for new patients decrease. As appointments for new patients decrease, patient starts decreases.
• Team Care: If we trace Appointment Backlog Extends RVI, as scheduled appointments go up, work pressure goes up. As work pressure goes up, RVI increases. As RVI increases, booking rate decreases. As booking rate decreases, scheduled appointments decrease.

2. The feedback loops for the CLDs are not in the language of the model or the variables.

• MM/PSY/CC: "Appointments for Existing Patients" -> "Scheduled Appointments for Existing Patients"
• Team Care: "Appointments" -> "Scheduled Appointments"

DECISIONS for #modeling_workflow and #consult_workflow given these bugs to close out https://github.com/lzim/research/issues/1072:

• Remove the arrows in screenshots
• Add the key for the + and - polarities
• Trace the entire loop (use variable names and units) from start to finish
