Which version to pick as the target for PowerPC systems?

I am not asking what was the last version to have Xcode project file not forcing x86, that is easy to establish, or which was tested on powerpc hardware (perhaps none of reasonably recent were). The point is rather what would make a better sense to have on powerpc. Should we aim for the latest release (or the master) with some amount of fixes here & there, or is an earlier version likely to actually perform better?

10.6 was dropped in d20d7a9 but all those are in effect xibs changes.

I think latest release would make sense since there hasn't been a ton of development anyways.

@ElDeveloper Thank you. For that we require missing sources for those binaries, since I think they lack ppc slices in the last release. If you could point to those, I will make a port to build everything on powerpc.
