Development of the Notes feature

I use the Notes feature extensively. I store notes there about, among other things, the equipment I use, expedition and rover journals, as well as other necessary information.

Here are a few development ideas that would further improve the usability of the Notes feature:

• deleting notes
• creating custom categories, or tags or date
• creating tables within notes
• search function
• sorting notes (by date, category, tag)
• ability to lock important notes (if using a shared notebook)

What thoughts does this raise?

All good ideas, I have to admit I use it too, mostly for storing shack info and beacon info as i never remember them on VHF+ :)

• when you say deleting notes how do you think it could be improved?

Should we display all notes in a Table with title and then actions next to them for edit and delete?

This would probably be easier than doing categorys then users can just use whatever they want and we can filter based on it.

Its definitely something I think we can address

Sorry for the confusing wording. I have to admit that my thoughts were running faster than I was writing.

What I meant was that both editing and deleting a note could be placed at the top instead of the bottom—this way you could access editing and deletion immediately without having to scroll all the way down a long note.

• Completely new user interface
• Search titles and content
• Filter by category
• Create your own categories
