_LAST_COMMAND_INDICATOR_ not replaced when not in a git repo

XFCE drop-down terminal, Fedora 39: this is literally what I see when not under Git repository folder:

```

I'm using `GIT_PROMPT_ONLY_IN_REPO=1`. When it's set to 0 the problem disappears but this is hardly a satisfying solution because I'd like Git bash prompt not to interfere when it's not under any git repo.
