How to preserve graph layout when adding or removing nodes

Can't find anywhere else to ask a question, no "Discussion" in this repository, it seems. Here is my question:

In Graph view, even with "Persistent" activated, adding a node to the graph by launching or closing an audio or MIDI application causes all exiting nodes to jump around in the graph. I was unable to find anything in "Setting" to turn that off.

How can that be disabled?

Second, less important, but related question: Is there any documentation that you can point me to that would cover things like this?

Persistent layout places nodes according to layout chosen in Untangle menu (I should probably rename that option to just "Layouts". I copied it from side-by-side managers, where it's more fitting - it untangles wires there). When active, as it stands, any change in the graph will trigger chosen layout algorithm to rearrange nodes accordingly. For that reason, having persistent layout on while making any changes, may not be very practical. I would use Persistent layout as a momentary switch to arrange messy graph and then turn it off.

I don't see any other sensible way of designing it, because if nodes where not arranged according to active layout with that option on, it would be exactly what happens when option is off.

(There is another "hidden" layout available and can be activated by adding "0" in Graph Untangle configuration in Other Settings (will show as "I/O layout" in Untangle menu). Auto layout (graphviz as a back-end) replaced it, as I think it's better).

d5fd23a has button renamed to "Layouts". It will hopefully make it clearer. Otherwise, nothing to fix here.
