vanilla install broken

I am attempting to follow the instructions and found the outcome is broken. The nms-nginx-proxy enters a "CrashLoopBackOff" status due the following error message:

/docker-entrypoint.sh: Configuration complete; ready for start up
2024/01/03 15:01:16 [emerg] 1#1: unknown directive "ssl" in /etc/nginx/conf.d/nginx_proxy_ssl.conf:3
nginx: [emerg] unknown directive "ssl" in /etc/nginx/conf.d/nginx_proxy_ssl.conf:3

In our lab I load Ubuntu 22 LTS and run your instructions.

Are there additional pre-steps required before executing magma-deployer?

+listen 443 ssl;

I'm fairly new to containers and am getting the same error. How can I edit that config file?

first run this command

kubectl edit cm nginx-proxy-etc

update that one line of ssl and it should look this as below

apiVersion: v1
data:
  nginx_proxy_ssl.conf: |
    server {
      listen 443 ssl;
      ssl_certificate /etc/nginx/conf.d/nms_nginx.pem;
      ssl_certificate_key /etc/nginx/conf.d/nms_nginx.key.pem;
      ......

After this pod will run perfectly

this majorly occurs when there was incorrect SSL certificate configuration provided or nginx serving plain HTTP on an HTTPS port or port mismatch between service and Nginx.

I rebooted the server and now it's functioning. Thank you!
