Forcing an app to open on its own layer

Hey! I have a use case in which I want to force an app (here a terminal, Alacritty) to open on its own separate layer.
I came across your wl_proxy and I was wondering if this would be a valid use case since I am totally new to Wayland!

That is something that can be done with wl-proxy. You might want to check if wl-paper already does what you want.
