Host Your Own Vector Tiles

Hosting your own tiles is easier than ever! I tried it today.

1. Download 'mbtiles vector' torrent from @acalcutt : https://www.techidiots.net/downloads/open-base-map-torrents
2. Download Martin. If you have the Rust compiler and cargo installed, simply cargo install martin.
3. Create a symlink (so you keep seeding the file) ln -s planetiler_2023-09-02.mbtiles openmaptiles.mbtiles
4. Copy one of the OpenMapTiles Styles for example this one.
5. Run Martin martin openmaptiles.mbtiles. Make sure to expose it to the internet (or within your own network).
6. Change the url source of the vector tiles to http://your.server/openmaptiles.
7. Use the style in your MapLibre (Native) app!
