Ruby: `bundle exec herb lint/format`?

Is there an eventual plan to implement the herb linter and formatter in ruby, so that it does not depend on a javascript installation?

Hey @jeremyevans, thanks for opening this issue! I think having these kinds of discussions as issues is fine for now.

For now, I don't think it makes sense to re-implement the linter and formatter in pure Ruby, even though I'd love to make it work. That said, I opened #455 which makes the formatter and linter callable from Ruby.

+1 for this! Thank you @jeremyevans for opening this issue and @marcoroth for the thoughtful response and PR #455.

I've been experimenting with building new Rails apps without Node.js, following DHH's recent "no build" philosophy. In this setup, having herb's linter and formatter callable directly from Ruby would be incredibly valuable.

This becomes especially important when working with devcontainers—often there's no Node.js available in the container environment, so being able to run bundle exec herb lint/format without any JavaScript dependency would make the integration much smoother.

Looking forward to the progress on this!
