The Spice AI GitHub Copilot Extension makes it easy to access and chat with external data in GitHub Copilot, enhancing AI-assisted research, Q&A, code, and documentation suggestions for greater accuracy.

Access structured and unstructured data from sources like GitHub, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, Databricks, GraphQL, data lakes (S3, Delta Lake, OneLake), HTTP(s), SharePoint, and even FTP.

Installation, Sign-in & Authentication

Install the Extension: Click Install and follow prompts to add it to your GitHub account or organization.

Authenticate with Spice.ai: A Spice.ai account is automatically created during installation. Follow on-screen instructions to authenticate. Select ready-to-use datasets to begin (more datasets coming soon).

Start Using: In Copilot Chat, mention @spiceai in your prompts to interact with the extension.
