Replicated several times on a Pixel 9 running Android 16.
Image is 1,9MB sized JPG, a local file taken with the device camera.
When sharing an image from Photos app, an error message "Upload failed" is displayed in Mastodon app. The photo renders in the post/message editor, the error message appears below in red.
When using Photo Picker via Mastodon app, choosing said photo displays "Cannot load some images" in the Mastodon app. The photo doesn't render on the post editor.
When using Files app, choosing the file on the device, it loads correctly into the post editor and is able to be sent.
I'm assuming this has to do with termporary content://-URI addresses, but since I don't know more about any of this, I can't dive deeper.
Didn't find anything related to this by searching, so I am hoping this could get fixed.
