How do I convert to copilotkit's message format?

When implementing using CopilotKit and mastra's integration, how does CopilotKit display messages stored in mastra's memory?
For example, with the ai-sdk, you would pass converted messages in toAISDKFormat to the initialMessages option. CopilotKit also has an initialMessages option - is there a mastra utility available that can convert messages to this format?
