Thank you for the idea and I appreciate your efforts! There are great Ebook reading apps so I hope you can continue them and Openreads together. |

I read most of my books in epub format, stored locally. I find it bothersome to switch between apps to move a book into the "in progress" section, then update the page count or percentage once in a while and finally move it to the "finished" section.
I see two ways to go about it. Either make both the reading and the tracking into a single app, or manage to sync progress between multiple apps. Since I have no idea how to do the latter, I'd suggest integrating an epub reader inside openreads. A mp3 and mb4 reader would also be very appreciated.
I'd like to be able to link an epub file to an openreads entry and read the book inside the app. Here are more specific features : Dark reading mode, infinite scrolling, automatic switch from next -> in progress -> finished and tracking page/percent progress. I also think it could be useful to be able to extract an entry from an epub file, since they store information like author, title, cover, etc.
I've looked around for other apps that can both read books, track progress and manage libraries, but I haven't found any. It would also be difficult to find free apps with APIs to track reading progress of different books.
