Background color remains after icon has left the screen

After the icon has animated off of the screen, the background color of the splash screen remains on the screen for another moment. In the example on your page, it looks as if the underlying view is revealed AS the icon animates off of the screen. It seems the included example exhibits this behavior and is different from the example on your page.

This is happening when the center pixel of the bezier path is the same color as the background color. Imagine a 'ring' type icon with the center the same color as the background.
