Support Importing Outbound Link (Outlink) Events From GA4 #602
Description
A user is attempting to import data from a GA4 property into Matomo and expects outbound link events to map to Matomo’s Outlinks report. However, during the import process, Matomo reports that “the outlinks report doesn’t exist in GA4” and therefore no data is imported.
Outbound links do exist in GA4, but only as part of Enhanced Measurement, not as a standard report. Because the GA4 Importer currently checks only for standard reports, these events are not being detected or mapped.
The request is to add support for importing outbound link events from GA4 Enhanced Measurement and map them appropriately to Matomo’s Outlinks dimension. Or a method to do so.
