A user of my server made a space, and is now the administrator of it. The user is now inactive and has set no moderators. My server admin account is not in that space. How do I gain access to that space and set my server admin as space admin? |

As far as I know there is no protocol-level override because spaces are federated and remote servers need to see actions from that specific user, they don't recognize server admins over federation. That being said your best bet is to commandeer the user, probably by changing their password and reactivating them. I wish we had a more discreet way of doing this but I don't think there is. |

!admin users force-promote <USER_ID> <ROOM>command was added. Apologies for not returning to this issue sooner. With this command you should be able to gain control by specifying the ID of the user which went inactive and the space's alias or ID.
