How does gaitpy deal with time gap in acceleration series?

Hi 
If I have a vertical acceleration recording for hours with time gap in between (fo example sensor was removed for 1 hour and no samples and timestamp jump from 2:00 to 3:00 ) does gaitpy handle this situation or you have to feed the data as separate chunk of continuous data?
