SqlPath only absolute?

Hey Maurice,

I tried to configure "storage.sqlitePath" to a "../relative/path" like "../storage" or "../../storage" which resulted in an SQLite file created in "./public/storage" in the end. The only way to convince Komments to use the right path was using an absolute one "/home/whatever/..." etc.

I'm hosting Komments in Kirby 4.8.0 with php 8.2.28 and Komments 3.4.0.

Does this work as intended or did I get the documentation wrong?

Hi Christoph,

This might be a problem with your PHP config. Komments uses the path 1:1 as in your config. So as long as your system allows relative paths this will work. It always takes your document root as a base, so I guess public in your case.

An easy way to test might be a simple PHP file in your public folder with something like this:

file_put_contents('../test.txt', 'hello world');

And then check, where the file has been created.

You're right. The sensitive files are outside of the public folder so that they cannot be addressed via http directly (how ever the server is configured).

I'll look into this. Maybe I'll need to use "real path" and so on. Thank you for your investigation.
