Medusa admin dashboard in build product search by sku is not working

We’ve been using the Medusa application in our ecosystem for quite some time, starting from version 2.0.0. Our team is now in the process of migrating to version 2.8.3.

However, we’ve encountered an issue with the built-in product search module. In the earlier version (2.0.0), the search functionality worked across multiple tables — including product_variant, type, collection, and others — using joins. In version 2.8.3, the search appears to query only the product table, which prevents us from performing searches based on SKU.

Could you please guide us on how to enable or implement search functionality by SKU in the product module for version 2.8.3?

Will they be included in version v2.8.3 or in a later release?
Also, is there an expected date for the fix to go live?

My PR hasn’t been merged yet, so it’s not included in v2.8.3 or any released version at this point.
