Google couldn't sign you in ... insecure browser

After using Franz for a couple of years, I can no longer sign into Google Mail. The message says:

"This browser or app may not be secure. Try using a different browser. If you’re already using a supported browser, you can refresh your screen and try again to sign in."

The Learn More link is https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7675428?hl=en-GB

There is information in this link for App Developers on how to change their app to meet the new standards.

This is also happening on my side, but only in my personal account.
I have 2 other Gmail accounts (a Mozilla account and a work account) that work with no issues.

Tested with:
Version: 5.3.3
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro, Linux Mint 19.3

Update from my side: out of nowhere the Gmail service started to work properly, even though I did nothing since the #14 (comment)
