  1. begin with an ensemble of forecasts for screen_temperature
  2. calculate summary statistics across the ensemble dimension of the dataset:
     1. mean
     2. standard deviation
     3. [2.5 5 10 20 25 30 40 50 60 70 75 80 90 95 97.5] percentiles
  3. collate the collection of results into a probability density function representation
