Codebreaker Advance slide codes not working, are discarded from cheat list

Codebreaker Advance slide codes do not work in current builds of mGBA. In fact, attempting to add a slide code to a cheat list causes the slide code lines to simply disappear unless they are encrypted or are added to the .cheats file manually with a text editor.

Even when encrypted, the codes appear to simply not function properly.

An example code would be useful (both encrypted and decrypted versions) since these code are somewhat infrequent.

Here. This is the "Access MOD Shop" code for Pokémon Emerald (USA, Europe), along with a code that stocks the 'MOD shop' (a debug leftover, I suspect) with all Poké Balls.

The MOD Shop code seems to work as intended; the Poké Ball code, however, has absolutely no effect.

I would have tested the codes on hardware, but my Gameshark SP has a bent pin in its cart slot.

They seem to add properly to me. Were you adding one line at a time or pasting multiple lines?

Both codes definitely seem to do something when I enter them, but the second one only seems to modify the prices of some of the items. I'm unsure if it's a problem with my implementation or the code itself since I don't have much reference for how the slide codes are supposed to work, and the reference I do use has been known to have errors at times.

Are you also using the Must Be On cheats? The GBA Pokemon games use some sort of Dynamic memory address changer which causes the location for some things to move around depending on what buttons you press. It's one of the reasons a lot of these cheats require that you press certain buttons, to have it place and the read in a specific location in memory. The M codes affect this dynamic feature to more likely put it in a specific location.

Just tried that; unfortunately, the Anti DMA/RNG Killer codes for Emerald made no difference. Additionally, I found a code that causes mGBA to softlock with an infinite series of jumps to invalid addresses:

Could be; the codes are noticeably shorter than their Fire Red equivalents, and those work without a hitch...
