Description
Name of the game:
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (USA/Europe, tested with both Rev A and B).
Emulator platform:
mGBA 0.10.4, Windows, portable.
Describe the issue in detail and how to reproduce it:
In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on Game Boy Color, after beating the game once (beating W8-4 in Original 1985), in the Toy Box, Peach will be able to be found, and will allow you to change the intro graphic used when booting the game, alongside changing the text on it and the notes played there.
Thing is, on the intro screen when starting the game, the top of the graphic appears to be garbled on mGBA, which is not the case on real hardware (note that this does not happen on the intro screen present before beating the game).
From what I've tried, this issue does not occur if a Game Boy Color bios is provided, though I only did a quick testing and I don't know why this seems to change the situation.
On an unrelated note, it seems that the transitions when opening and closing a menu temporarily display for a very short time some tiles and graphics that shouldn't be here (this is unrelated to the GBC bios), and which doesn't seem to occur on real hardware. For instance, closing the Toy Box can display this picture for a very short time. I suppose it is tied to something like the screen ghosting of the original Game Boy not being replicated here which leads to this visual difference? No idea.
