caldav UID isn't used/stored when using Graph

I'm using vdirsyncer to synchronize ical files to davmail, vdirsyncer uses the UID to synchronize ical files.

It looks like that after an ical file gets uploaded to davmail it will get a new UID when it's downloaded again.

This will make vdirsyncer first add a new calendar item (good) and then download it again as a new ics file (with a new UID).

I know this is work in progress, I'm really glad this already works so far!

You are correct iCalUId provided over graph is server generated and readonly.
=> implemented a workaround based on transactionId to store client provided calendar event UID

Please note that this UID must be unique or event creation will fail
