Global Modeling Infrastructure

Summary

Recently published global dHBV model (Ji et al., 2025) should be incorporated into dMG for forward simulation and demonstration of results.

Tasks

• DataLoader for global data preprocessing (./core/data/loaders)
• DataSampler capable of subsetting input data into minibatches for simulation (./core/data/samplers)
• Trainer class capable of model forward/evaluation (no training at this time) (./trainers)
• Global simulation notebook; contains a walkthrough of how to forward global in dMG + details and explanation* about the model structure (this can be pulled from the publication) (example/hydrology)
• Publish updates to Zenodo

*Should be short but cover key aspects so new users can develop a quick intuition for the model formulation.
