In the Environment Based Configuration Management migration prompt, clicking Skip Now presents a warning that the process is required and seems to imply that the current Revision Based Configuration Management will be deprecated.

Is my interpretation correct? If so, what is the timeline for deprecation/disable?

We're revising the popup message soon because we're still working on clearly defining the workflow options we'll be offering.
For now, this feature should be considered beta and can be used as an alternative to the existing Console workflow.
