<description><![CDATA[<p>why didn't anyone tell me these films are about fascism?</p><p>went in for sparkly musical numbers, got a masterclass in manufacturing enemies and consolidating power through propaganda. the Wizard isn't even subtle about it.</p><p>Glinda's entire arc is just: stay silent to stay safe → benefit from the system → realize you're complicit. Ariana Grande played "well-meaning liberal who enables fascism" so well it hurt.</p><p>that "for good" reprise knowing what comes next? devastating. these movies really said "fun witch story!" then unpacked how authoritarianism happens while everyone's watching the spectacle.</p><p>Ariana Grande deserves everything.</p><p>really surprised that i enjoyed these so much, though maybe i shouldn't be since i loved <i>The Wizard of Oz</i> growing up. the music is pretty good, too!</p>]]></description>
