Option to make org "protected"

When adding a credential for an org, it would be helpful to be given the option to make that org "protected", which would allow the user to retrieve but not deploy there.

this is an interesting feature.
What about an option like Ask for confirmation before compiling/deploying?
If you choose Yes, a confirm popup will show up when you try to save/compile. This way if you really want to deploy/compile on that org, you can still do it

This would be very nice yes.
I'm guessing there should also the warning text should not-easily be ignored or to make the confirm button not something a user would press without thinking much.
