Pixel Watch app won’t run under microG

Describe the bug
Will not pair with Pixel Watch 4 (new product as of October). Wants “Google Play Services.”

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Get a Pixel Watch 4
2. Download the Pixel Watch app using Aurora
3. Turn on the watch and run the app
4. See error on watch. Takes about 60 secs to timeout

Expected behavior
Watch pairs with phone through the app and the setup dialog begins (there are short YouTube vids that show the expected behavior.)

Never mind. It was explained to me as “working as designed.” In retrospect, their explanation made sense. One can’t use a Google-intensive device on a de-googled phone. The watch requires the full Google Play Services to run the setup app, and that’s not allowed. I suggested siloing the full Google services app, or maybe a virtual machine running on the phone. No idea if that’s possible or practical, but it was a thought.

Not sure who explained that but it is wrong.
Things that do not work now, may work in the future; it just need someone that implement the code.

The additional problem with Pixel Watch (or other watches) is also that it need a developer that have bought them.

I’m not that kind of coder, or I’d love to tackle it. I’m a manufacturing automation guy, and lack the expertise to do it (sigh.)

I wasn't asking you to do it, I was only stating that it may need more time because it need additional hardware :-)
And also a developer interested in it.
