Under Settings (gear icon in the vertical toolbar) > Application > Sign-in, look for the Sign in with setting. Options for sign in include:

Default Web Browser: sign-in occurs via your OS' default web browser. This option is recommended if you are on macOS or Linux, or if you're having issues with the authentication broker option.

Try these steps, it fixed for me.

Just deleted the new version, and reinstalled the earlier version (1.43.0 to be exact) from github:
https://github.com/microsoft/AzureStorageExplorer/releases#release-v1.43.0

Scroll down to Assets under the version yo uwant, and then download (Windows) --> StorageExplorer-windows-x64.exe

Thanks for the report. Version 1.19.0 is no longer supported -- the current release is 1.45.0. Could you update to the latest version and let us know if the issue persists?

In the meantime, a workaround is available: go to Settings (gear icon) > Application > Sign-in, and change Sign in with to Default Web Browser. This bypasses the authentication broker and has resolved the issue for other reporters.

This still happens on 1.45.0 which supposedly has the fix. But it still doesn't work. The latest version you can use on macos is 1.42.0
