Guide to Using Only the Compositor for Spectator View

Hi, I would like to bring in only the Compositor components of Spectator View to do a "Spectator View Pro" set up where my compositor PC can be hooked up to a DSLR and a HoloLens 1 or 2 to render a composited view. I do not need any of the mobile or broadcasting components as my app is already built to support networking between ARKit, ARCore and HoloLens devices.

Currently, there doesn't seem to be any guide to do so, is it possible to have a guide or at least a simple run through of which components are responsible for which sections of the set up?

We will add more detailed documentation in the future, but in terms of basic setup steps:

1. Run through calibration and get a hololens + dslr camera rig prepared for filming
2. In your Unity project, add the SpectatorView.Compositor.prefab to your scene

• If your content is already synchronized, and the editor player is hooked up to this shared experience, you should see content appear and update with your shared experience.
• The camera game object declared in the SpectatorView.Compositor.prefab is moved around the scene based on the camera rig hololens pose information. This is the camera used for compositing compared to the main camera in the scene.
• Camera poses for the SpectatorView.Compositor.prefab's camera will be reported relative to the spatial coordinate/qr code used for alignment. This allows the detected qr code to equate to the origin of your shared experience. If you move content based on detected coordinates in your shared experience compared to keeping all content in the same place and applying parent transforms to participant's cameras, you may need to add some additional logic to move content. I can provide more information on how to do this as needed.
