Fancy Zones acting strangely and a request

Description of the new feature / enhancement

I Have been using Fancy Zones now for a few months and I absolutely love it. There is however a possible bug I ran into tonight. I have a monitor with 21:9 aspect ratio. When I modify presets over time the make a long line and go off the edge off the screen so I have to scroll to find the newest configurations. I am not able to move the settings by dragging them, which would be very helpful to organize then. I have to admit that I find it a bit strange if it was not designed with that feature.

Tonight I encountered a problem because of my many presets one of them went off screen and every time I tried to scroll to it, drag the window with all the presets and other things I tried but don't recall well enough to give detailed report of.
That issue may be temporary I haven't followed the basic reboot that fixes most problems. But ignored that because I wanted to report that strange behaviour and mention what I think may improve this already great utility.

Scenario when this would be used?

I would use this to be able to configure very specific layouts based on the apps I'm working with. Being able to fully use every cm2 of my screen real estate is something I find very good. I then try to run certain apps in specific, layouts in certain virtual desktops and switch between desktops as needed.

Hello I just noticed this so sry for the late reply. I'm using windows build:
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 21H2
Installed on ‎3.‎2.‎2022
OS build 22000.527
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.527.0

And my powertoys version is
v.0.55.1

This is how it appears when I open the fancy zones. If I change the dimensions of the fancy zones selection menu then it rearranges the zone selection windows so they all fit into the window as shown in the second screenshot. However when I reopen the selection screen then they show up as they did before I changed the window dimensions.

The request.
I would like to be able to assign fancy zones layout A on virtual desktop 1 and be able to select fancy zones layout B to virtual desktop 2. So that if I use ctrl+win+arrow to change desktops the layouts would be locked to the virtual desktop without further manual configuration from me.

I upgraded to Powertoys v.0.55.2 and it does not change the issue.

Hm, let me see if I understand correctly - I see a few different things here

I think you have to uncheck the setting "Allow zones to span across monitors" for this.

This sounds like a simple issue and fix. CC: @niels9001 or @SeraphimaZ.

Apart from that, I see you have a lot of (similar) layouts. Why not design one or two different grids, and then place windows into one/two/three of the zones?

I had deleted a few layouts after I raised the issue so I quickly cloned a few to replicate the issue. I can probably get away with using fewer zones, but I find it convenient to be able to quickly sort my windows into zones when I override snap and use win+arrow to move them to different zones without manually dragging and resizing windows. It's a bit like using a tiling window manager in linux, but I find this far more convenient than that.
