Description
Description of the new feature / enhancement
Please add further measurement methods:
Favored:
- Circle-Measurement
- Angle-Measurment
Optional:
- Add a view angle correction. For instance, the image below has a view angle of 60° -> Measured Height * sin(60°) = Real Height
- Add a conversion unit on base of the rule of 3 -> e.g.: 100µm = 390px. The measurement yields then also the length value next to the px-values
Scenario when this would be used?
I'm using the MeasureTool to extract rough dimensions of scanning microscope images by the rule of 3.
For width and height of my structures this works quite well. But as my structures are conical, it would be great being able to measure their angle. I use also a minimum enclosing circle to estimate the tip radius of that conus (on images wit higher magnification).

Favored Features:
Circle and Angle-Measurement would be very helpful and, in my opinion, quite easy to implement.
Optional Features:
View angle correction and unit conversion (rule of 3) can easily done by a pocket calculator, but if you consider to implement these features too, it would be really nice if the MeasureTool remembers the last given settings and provide a "reset" button. A small dropdown-menu next to it, where I can store such settings as "profiles" with a custom name like "magnification x190 60°" may also be cool. But at least the MeasureTool should not be overloaded with too much settings.
