Workspaces removes Discord from saved Workspace after each Discord update

After each Discord update Workspaces no longer finds Discord and says "application cannot be found" thus effectively removing Discord from a saved Workspace.

✔️ Expected Behavior

Discord should remain in the saved Workspace after an update.

❌ Actual Behavior

Workspaces cannot find Discord app and do not launch it.

Yeah, those issues where with 0.84.0 update, this is a new issue. Workspaces actually saves Discord in the newly made Workspace, but immediately removes Discord after each update, since it cannot find it for some reason. Possible workaround.

Not able to currently test, however from what I remember discord.exe changes its folder each update with the new revision number.

If you have the desktop icon check its path, it is most likely pointing to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Discord\Update.exe --processStart Discord.exe"

If that is the case see if you can update the "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\PowerToys\Workspaces\workspaces.json" to point to that same non changing exe.

Thank you, that obviously makes sense. Unfortunately I don't see a way to change path or anything besides arguments in Workspaces. Is there a way to edit Workspace manually somewhere?

Only place I have seen where to manually edit is "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\PowerToys\Workspaces\workspaces.json"

You could try there, I am unable to test at this point. I also have no association with the team, was just browsing issues before I posted a duplicate.

Discord in workspace "Chat" is not opening on launch.

I would like to invite you for a little cooperation. From the launcher logs I can see that the Discard app cannot be found:

Can you please confirm that the Discard.exe file is not in the given directory? I assume it isn't there. The more important question is, can you please locate the Discard.exe file? Maybe the magic numbers in the path have been changed, which can happen after an update and usually the numbers get higher. (Workspaces should handle this, so I am really curious about your exe location)

No, it isn't. I edited my workspace and now it works. I guess it will work until Discord is auto-updated again.
