Description

Microsoft PowerToys version

0.87.1

Installation method

PowerToys auto-update

Running as admin

No

Area(s) with issue?

Workspaces

Steps to reproduce

Use the Workspace editor to add an icon to the desktop.
Here's an example of the icon image file path:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp{4126DC60-368F-47D6-9AAC-1B7ADF8E2194}.ico

✔️ Expected Behavior

The icon image files should be stored somewhere not subject to housekeeping / cleaning up!!

❌ Actual Behavior

The desktop icon images disappeared after installing 24H2 (which presumably must have included cleaning up the temp directory!!)
I had to restore them by unchecking and re-checking "Create desktop shortcut" in the Workspace Editor.
