I tried to test this, but my EA app doesn't create these internet shortcuts, only normal shell shortcuts to the executable *). In general, though, internet shortcuts work, since I'm pretty sure they work for Steam, for example.

*) I tried multiple games, including Need for Speed Most Wanted, which is shown in the screenshots in the original post. No dice. I'll continue the investigation in a few weeks, after I finish all the games I just installed...

@Juljina Could you please grab some of the internet shortcuts for those Origin games, pack them into a ZIP archive, and upload them here? The NfS one would be especially appreciated, since I just installed it.

I can see origin: and origin2: protocol handlers installed on my system, so while the app won't create those shortcuts, it might still support them.

@jiripolasek Hi! EA App does not create Internet Shortcuts for its games, I think it uses origin2:// protocol when you launching game directly from the EA App, at least in Origin it did.

So I just made my custom game launch shortcuts origin2://game/launch/?offerIds=[contentID]. Title's Content ID can be found inside [Game Install]\__Installer\installerdata.xml file. If title has multiple contentID, you need to put all of them, separted by , for example, Need For Speed Most Wanted: origin2://game/launch/?offerIds=71628,71530,71744,71726,71743,71725,71742,71724,1009368_ltdtrial
