Delete events without initiating 1-hour limbo

I recently deleted an event history as I am currently implementing a new set of events and was attempting to declutter while testing. This lead me to spending a bunch of time trying to figure out why my events were suddenly no longer publishing to AppCenter. I did a google search and discovered this ticket which is what informed me of this 1-hour limbo after deleting an event history that prevents events of that type from being logged. This is not conducive to the development and testing process.

At a minimum, there should be a warning in the Delete Event dialog that states events will be ignored for an hour.

What I would really like though is a way to disable the 1-Hour limbo so that I can just delete the current history and immediately start logging events again. This would make testing a lot easier and I don't have to wait an hour between test runs.
