That's correct. Typically files are downloaded or created elsewhere (e.g., via web surfer), and FileSurfer reads those files -- it is read-only. Editing, or fetching new files, directly from FileSurfer, is perhaps future work. |

Oh, OK, thanks! I was trying to create a simple agent system that does some research about a topic and then saves the final output locally. For this, should I create my own agent off FileSurfer? Or what is the recommended way? |

What happened?
Do I get it right (also based on checking the source code) that the FileSurfer agent cannot actually yet save files?
The agent says that it saved the file to a certain folder (which it identifies correctly), but it does not save anything.

What did you expect to happen?
Markdown files could be saved. :)
