So here's something that's been bugging me — whenever I switch between modes (like going from Standard to Scientific or Programmer), the calculator just... ignores my keyboard for a second. I'll switch modes and immediately start typing, and nothing happens. The first few keys I press just vanish into thin air. No error, no beep, nothing. I have to either click somewhere inside the window or just awkwardly pause before it starts listening to me again.
Just to be clear, this isn't the random keyboard freeze that's been mentioned in #1947. This one happens every single time right after switching modes. Super consistent and reproducible.
How to reproduce it
Open up the Calculator app
Hit the menu and switch to a different mode — Standard to Scientific works fine as an example
Right away, start typing something on your keyboard like 5 + 3 =
You'll notice the first keystroke or two just get ignored completely
What I expected to happen
Honestly, pretty simple — after switching modes, I should just be able to start typing. The keyboard focus should follow me there automatically.
What actually happens
It doesn't. The app just drops my first few keystrokes silently and I have to click inside the window before it wakes up again. Breaks the flow completely if you're someone who doesn't use the mouse much.
