Add context when connecting GitHub account

After clicking "Connect", I see a weird UI state where I am in the account tab, there is an empty picker, and no repositories. The actual behavior is that there is a browser tab opened in the background, but I did not see the UI give me any clues that there is a browser window open or that I need to come back later after I authenticate in the browser.
