Comparison of ChatHistory and Threads #10935

Hello @lovedeepatsgit, we're doing an investigation on how to bring the thread concept to agents that don't currently use it (i.e., ChatCompletionAgent). The ChatHistory and Thread are analogous in meaning, but handled differently as the chat history is (or can be ephemeral, or with a little more heavy lifting, stored in a database). The thread is a similar concept, something to manage chat state, but it's stored on the server - so it can be easily pulled down by any machine/client that has access to those resources. When using SK's Current investigation into the thread concept for chat completion agents is here. |

Earlier I have created normal agents using Semantic Kernels which uses ChatHistory, and Multiple Agents in a GroupChat also used ChatHistory, But for File Search I have used AzureAiAgent which uses Thread, So I want to know how Threads are different from ChatHistory, Does Thread is SuperSet of ChatHistory, How are these different from one another?
